The Reverend Doctor Victor M. Davis Senior Pastor Trinity Baptist Church Columbus, Ohio

Dr. Victor M. Davis has served as the Senior Pastor of Trinity Baptist Church, Columbus, Ohio since August 1997. Through his leadership as Pastor, Preacher and Teacher, he leads the disciples of Trinity in proactive ministry that is committed to “Compelling the World to Salvation and Discipleship.”

Under the visionary leadership of Pastor Davis, the church ministry is Christ centered and community focused through several ministries. This is evident through the church owned Rejoice Christian Bookstore, Revival Development Community Corporation (RDC), The Stratton Missions House and the church partnership with many community base organizations. Presently, the church is working toward the establishment of the Bethesda Place, which will be a transitional home for human trafficking victims. Trinity, through the church sponsored development corporation (RDC) in partnership with three other churches, including the Alpha Rho Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.,  has completed the building of The Whitneytownhomes, in the neighborhood where the church is located. The ministry of Trinity is a growing diverse ministry that presently has several active ministries committed to the growth of Christians.

Dr. Davis earned the Bachelor of Arts and Master of Divinity, Magna cum Laude from Shaw University, Raleigh, North Carolina. He studied at Southeastern Theological Baptist Seminary, Wake Forest, North Carolina. In 2006,  he was conferred the Doctorate of Ministry Degree at the United Theological Seminary, Dayton, Ohio. He has published articles and sermons in Man to Man Second Edition, published by Judson Press, Living Under an Imposed Sentence: Imprints from the Preaching Life of Dr. Charles E. Booth and the African American Pulpit. He is also a member of the Morehouse College Martin Luther King, Jr. Board of Preachers, Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Davis is an associate for the development and recruiting at United Theological Seminary, Dayton, Ohio. Prior to accepting the call to serve Trinity, he served as Pastor of the First Missionary Baptist Church, Smithfield, North Carolina. The Fayetteville, North Carolina native is supported in ministry by his wife, Lady Tiqua S. Davis; their children, Adeyah and Zion and his parents, the Rev. Roy and Mrs. Dorothy Birch, Jr.

Dr. Davis’ leadership at Trinity has afforded him the opportunity to serve as a member of several organizations and boards in the faith and civic communities. He presently serves as President of the E. E. Smith High School National Association of Alumni & Friends and is a life member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Lady Evangelist Tiqua Davis

Lady Tiqua is the wife of Rev. Victor M. Davis, Senior Pastor of the Trinity Baptist Church, Columbus, Ohio. They were united in marriage on March 9, 1996 at the Thomas J. Boyd Chapel on the campus of Shaw University. God has blessed their union with a daughter, Adeyah Shae Davis and a son Zion Gabriel Davis.
The “Trinity Rose”, Tiqua Davis is the daughter of Gwendolyn Howard and the late Cornelius Howard, Sr. and has four siblings. After graduating from West Springfield High School, Springfield, VA, she enrolled at Shaw University where she was active in campus life. She graduated in May 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Behavioral Science. In May 2010, she earned her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary.

Since coming to Trinity, Tiqua has assisted Pastor Davis in organizing the Youth Ministry, served as co-choreographer of the Anointed Dancers for Christ Liturgical dance ministry and has become active in several other areas of church life. She helped organize and serves as the leader of the Sister 2 Sister Women’s Ministry and also teaches the young adult Sunday school class.Since being given the opportunity to work on a human trafficking initiative through Lott Carey Baptist Foreign Missions, she has been afforded the opportunity to work with several organizations which advocate for victims of sexual exploitation including Shared Hope International, Home of Hope Western Cape in Cape Town, South Africa (Teen Challenge) and Gracehaven, a local organization founded in 2008 to address the huge need for the rehabilitation of underage victims. After receiving and acknowledging God’s call, Lady Tiqua preached her initial sermon on Sunday, May 8, 2016 and was affirmed to the ministry of evangelism.

Jeremiah 29:11 and Psalm 46:10 are two of her favorite scriptures. Lady T truly believes that God has the life He designed specifically for her in His very capable hands. Her confidence is in knowing that God is able because He is God and has continued to demonstrate His faithfulness in her life over and over again.
